Exciting news! I will be creating the role of 'Cheryl' in Iain Burnside's new piece 'Journeying Boys'. Rehearsals are in full swing and tickets are nearly sold out! See below for more details:

During the 2nd World War Benjamin Britten finished Les Illuminations, his songcycle setting the 19th century French badboy poet Arthur Rimbaud. Both words and music have associations with exile - Rimbaud in London, Britten in America.

For his new music theatre piece blending song, movement and and drama, Iain Burnside takes Les Illuminations as his starting point, exploring the contrast between two very different creative personalities.

This production contains strong language and is not suitable for minors.

Dove and Don't tell the bride!

What an amazing evening of music! Last night I perfored in a concert showcasing the wonderful work of Jonathan Dove, followed by his 30 minute opera 'Angels' for Sopranos, Counter-tenor and harp. I performed Adelaide's Aria 'It's My Wedding' from The Enchanted Pig. An hilarious piece in which the character has got three days till her wedding and her somewhat unconventional demands ar enot being met. Think TOWIE meets Big Fat Gipsy Weddings and you're half way there. Jonathan's music proves that opera isn't elitist and that new music is relevant to a contemporary audience as well as opera traditionalists.

What a busy few weeks! I've now begun my studies at the Royal College of Music and had an amazing opportunity to participate in a master class with welsh soprano Rebecca Evans.

On Tuesday I will be performing an amazing piece from Jonathan Dove's 'The Enchanted Piece' called 'It's My Wedding' (Adelaide's aria). The performance will feature in the first half of a concert focused on the music of Jonathan Dove with  the London premiere of the composer's opera 'Angels' forming the second half. For more details, visit the RCM website http://www.rcm.ac.uk/events/featuredevents/angels/
